Meet Dr. McMillan

For over 25 years, helping patients has been Dr. McMillan's passion. He has practiced in the Burke area since 1985, and is celebrating the 20th year of practicing in the Burke Town Center's spacious facility.

Dr. McMillan knows he can serve patients best by continually offering the best dentistry available anywhere. To do this, he averages over 100 hours a year of continuing education courses, to maintain and enhance his skill levels and benefit patients.

He makes this a priority, learning and mastering modern techniques and advanced technologies on the cutting edge of dentistry. Instead of just meeting the requirements for continuing education, he has pursued a rigorous course of study with literally thousands of hours of training, all designed to give his patients the latest and the best that dentistry has to offer.

His intensive training in sedation dentistry has made sedation a major focus of the practice. Also, Dr. McMillan’s continuing education training is so extensive, it has made him eligible for the AGD's prestigious Fellowship Award. He is also honored with the elite LVI Preferred Dentist membership of the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies.

Recently, Dr. McMillan also dedicated himself to mastering the advanced technology of Dental Implants. Implants have challenged long-held theories and principles of permanent tooth replacement and have, in many ways, revolutionized dentistry.

Dr. McMillan has been married to his wife, Carolyn, for 21 years, and has two daughters named Cristen and Alexa. He enjoys sports, reading cooking, shooting, and riding motorcycles, when not attending a continuing education course in cosmetic dentistry.

• Served as Coordinator of Emergency Dental Services at the 1982 World's Fair, Knoxville
• Served as Adviser to the Fair’s Knoxville Health Exhibit
• Served on the Advisory board of Knoxville Adult Education Center Dental Assistant School
• Served as Staff Dentist at the Knoxville Job Corps Center
